What we collect
When you create a Vael account, we collect your name, email address, company name, and company size. When you use the product, we process your chat messages, uploaded documents, and employee data to provide the service.
How we use your data
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Vael service
- To generate AI-powered HR guidance tailored to your company
- To process payments via Stripe
- To send transactional emails (verification, receipts)
What we never do
- We never use your data to train AI models
- We never sell your data to third parties
- We never share employee data with anyone outside your account
Data storage & security
Your data is stored in encrypted databases hosted on Supabase (AWS infrastructure). All connections use TLS encryption. File uploads are stored in isolated per-user directories with magic byte validation.
Data retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your conversations and uploaded documents at any time. If you close your account, all data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
Third-party services
- Anthropic (Claude AI) — processes your messages to generate responses. Anthropic does not use your data for training.
- Stripe — processes subscription payments. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Supabase — database hosting.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, request deletion, or update your information at any time by contacting us at hello@vaelhr.com.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
